Verb: To scale something back, like how Nerf weapons are scaled back less deadly versions of a real weapon. In other words, to nerf something is to make is weaker, maybe in the interests of game balance, maybe because loladmins.

Noun: A weapon made out of foam/that shoots foam darts.
