What Are They?

Achievements are awards for doing special things or accomplishing hard-to-accomplish things. Achievements are XP rewards, just like Kills, Travels and Journals, with the difference being you primarily get Journals from quests and Achievements from doing most things once.

Achievements tend to be for less XP than Journals, since Journals are namely awarded for doing multiple-step quests instead of one single thing.
