Orphanage

The orphanage is a newb zone, represented by "<=" on your map. This is a great place to go if you're lookin' to grind up your skills as a low-leveled character.

There are a few quests in the orphanage. You can kill rabid orphans for $50 each. (Orphans that when looked at seem to be foaming at the mouth, are rabid.) Sister Agnes will pay you for these orphans. Use the command "-agnes pay" to seek payment for your deeds. Agnes will also heal you if you ask her with "-agnes heal". She stops paying and healing you when you get stronger.

Alvin is another NPC that wanders the Orphanage. His purpose is unclear, but he resets the thermostat to 68 degrees whenever he passes it, so if you plan to go into the furnace, do it quickly and get out before he come around again. Another note on Alvin is that he seems a lot hornier than most NPCs you'll encounter in FC, almost perpetually so.
