Every action within HellMOO takes time to complete, dependent on both latency and the action being performed. If your character is already engaged in an action and you choose to perform another, the latter will be 'queued', or set to be performed after the former is completed. Multiple actions can be queued, up to a maximum of 25 at once. You can check your current queue by typing queue. If you decide you might want to stop performing actions all together, and clear your queue, you can also type stop.

This can be useful in many circumstances -- for instance, you might quickly type e, e, n, get pistol; to quickly run into a nearby building and grab a gun you know is there (or hope is there). So when you type get pistol, you might still be traveling east, but the command will be put into your action queue.
