Do you often find your self burdened with the misfortune of having good mutations that assist your gameplay?
Verb:  To scale something back, like how Nerf weapons are scaled back less deadly versions of a real weapon.  In other words, to nerf something is to make is weaker, maybe in the interests of game balance, maybe because loladmins/fuck players.

I bet not! That's because of "Nerfing." Nerf ensures that all mutations are equally useless and ensures that no player may accidently find themselves to be having fun. While in laman terms, to nerf means to weaken in the context of balance.
Noun: A weapon made out of foam/that shoots foam darts.

Reasons why a muation may get nerfed include:
Too many players have it, therefore nerfing it would sadden lots of people OR the mutation increases reflexes.

Focus being useful in fights?
Worry not, nerf has ensured that focus is only useful for finding people and teleporting. Just incase that wasn't enough, Jammer was recently added.

Freaks being able to install unfair numbers of implants and not get stressed?
That too was nerfed, now only cool vampire players with bleeder may run around with 6-7 mutations and not get stressed. As an addition benifit, freak has been nerfed to the point where there's no reason to get it UNLESS you're taking abomination.

Mutations that need to be nerfed:
All of the ones I don't use.
