Mudlet

Mudlet rules, this guide will help you make mudlet more awesome while playing hellmoo.

Setting up tabbed chat

Tabbed chat is good. You will like it. YATCO 2.3 by demonnic provides a nice framework for setting up tabbed chat easily. You can find it from h t t p://forums.mudlet.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3163 or by searching "YATCO 2.3" on the googlebox.

Setting up Triggers

1) Download the XML file from forums.mudlet.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3163 (YATCO 2.3 thread on the mudlet forums.)

2) Open Mudlet and select the "trigger icon"

3) Click the down green arrow "import" and import the YATCO-2.3 file that you downloaded.

4) With triggers selected, from the tree view in mudlet, expand YATCO-23 > Demonnic > Tabbed Chat > And create a new item for each tab you would like to create. Make sure to select the "beginning of line sub string" option.

5) In the whitespace below where the triggers are defined, you must enter demonnic.chat:append("tf2net") where tf2net is the tab we will define in the next step.

6) Continue to repeat steps 4 and 5 for each chat you want to tab.

7) Click the floppy disk icon to save your work.

Configuring YATCO settings

Your triggers will do nothing until you configure YATCO under the scripts portion of Mudlet.

1) Select the "Scripts" icon.

2) With scripts selected, from the tree view in mudlet, expand YATCO-23 > Demonnic > Tabbed Chat

3) Scroll down until you see the line demonnic.chat.config.channels = {

4) Edit the lines so they match all of the triggers you defined. See the example below. It's probably case sensitive, so make sure it's setup the same as what you put in the trigger line. (IE. if you put demonnic.chat:append("tf2net") line make sure there is a line for "tf2net", in the config.)

demonnic.chat.config.channels = {
  "All",
  "Corp",
  "Chatnet",
  "movienet",
  "tradenet",
  "zotnet",
  "playnet",
  "tf2net",
}

5) Click the floppy disk icon to save your work.

Further configuring and saving

1) Select "configuration options" I would suggest scrolling up and changing the

demonnic.chat.config.timestamp =

line to say

demonnic.chat.config.timestamp = false

2) Another good option to change is the font size option. 10 is ok.

demonnic.chat.config.fontSize = 10

3) You adjust the chat lines with the following line

demonnic.chat.config.lines = 40

4) You can make this bitch wider with this line

demonnic.chat.config.width = 100

5) Click the floppy disk icon to save your work. Restart Mudlet and enjoy blinking tabbed chat.

Setting up numpad

1) Download the XML file from forums.mudlet.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=2853

2) Click the down green arrow "import" and import the NumPad.Trigger.XML file that you downloaded.
