The '''matter compiler''' is a large piece of machinery(takes up an entire room cube) located in the [[Chemical Plant]]. It is used to synthesize elements, and is controlled by a console(which is operable by players) to the west of it.

=Achievement=
 
There is a matter compiler achievement, which is gained through synthesizing gold. The entire achievement is worth 800 experience, but in order to finish it you must have enough climb skill to scale 25 meters as well as have a bit of combat skill to kill low level mobs in the plant.
 
Steps:
1) Restore power in the southwest of the plant, using a gray power box
2) Look up the atomic number and weight of Gold(Au) using the console in the main room
3) Head outside and nearby the parking area there is a diagonal movement that will lead you to the area you need to scale
4) After you scale the wall, use the controls to enter in the atomic number and weight
5) Activate the synthesizer and enjoy your achievement
 
(Unsure of how accurate the steps are, but that's an estimation.)
